![]() Yes, this place relishes in its heritage. In fact, the side of the restaurant is a standalone Quick Service joint that sells one primary dish: Fish and Chips. The conceit is that you’re dining at an upscale restaurant that echoes English pubs. The theming at Rose & Crown is all things British. Then, you’ll veer right toward the United Kingdom pavilion. You’ll walk through the current Future World and enter the World Showcase. However, the front isn’t challenging, either. So, the place is easier to find from the back. If you keep walking straight, you’ll go right by it. When you come in via the International Gateway, you’ll find this place due north on your compass. When you visit EPCOT, you’ll find this restaurant toward the back of the park, presuming you enter via the front gate. Here’s my review of Rose & Crown Dining Room, a favorite whose recent menu changes have done it a disservice. Our first meal together in many months occurred inside EPCOT. Thankfully, everything is safer at Walt Disney World, which meant that we could finally dine together again in an unlikely location. Our county possesses the ignoble distinction of having one of the worst COVID-19 transmission rates in the country. During the show everyone was allowed to go down to the lower deck if they wanted, but we actually found our view being a little higher up from the bushes may have been even better compared to some of the lower tables. As a quirk of the pandemic, I hadn’t dined with my brother’s family during the body of 2020. We found our table offered a great view for a relaxing dinner. We were still on the water, enjoying the fresh air, but under cover. At many parties you may be shuffled off to some indoor location and then shuffled out for the show, but at the Rose & Crown being sat on a slightly higher level wasn’t all that different. We really liked the “bad weather” option. On our evening there was some inclement weather so they sat us up on the patio directly one level up from that area. The patio tables are located on the lower level directly next to the water. The area designated for the dining package is on the left side of the restaurant. Once ready cast members will begin to escort parties to their individual tables. If a little early parties will gather on the sidewalk directly behind the booth. We were able to check in at the restaurant starting at 7:30, an hour and a half before the scheduled Illuminations show. The check in for the dining package is the same as the Rose & Crown Dining Room Booth (the booth located right outside the pub). It is also good to note you pay for the package the day of booking. Packages can be popular and we recommend booking sooner than later if interested. How to Book: Dining reservations can be made 180 days in advance by visiting the dining section of the Walt Disney world website or calling 407-WDW-DINE (40). The experience starts at 8pm, an hour before Epcot’s evening show: Timing: This package is approx 90 minutes. We were really excited to try the Rose and Crown Dining IllumiNations Dining Package as this included enjoying your meal at the same time as the show. We have done many dining packages that include a meal at a restaurant with a voucher for priority seating for a show later the same day. ![]()
